Important Safety Information

At Stock Tank Pools WA, your safety is our priority. Our pools are brand new products imported from the USA via freight shipping. We then repurpose these agucultrial livestock wateribg tanks to be used as galvanised steel stock tank pools. While they are built to last, they are not traditional swimming pools and require special consideration during installation and use.

This Installation Safety Disclaimer outlines important safety obligations, legal responsibilities, and service limitations associated with the installation and use of your Stock Tank Pool.

1. Installation Services

Stock Tank Pools WA offers professional installation services for an additional fee, which includes:

  • Delivery and placement of the stock tank pool

  • Connection of the filtration system

  • Basic levelling of the surface (minor adjustments)

  • General usage instructions and safety overview

Note: Installation does not include site excavation, electrical wiring, decking, fencing, or council approvals.

2. Customer Responsibilities

Before installation, it is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Ensure the site is level, clear, and accessible for installation

  • Confirm that the installation complies with local council regulations, including pool fencing laws

  • Provide access to a safe and compliant power source for the filtration system (if required)

  • Ensure that installation on decking or non-concrete surfaces has been approved by a qualified structural engineer

We strongly recommend that customers seek any necessary approvals or permits from local authorities before installation. Stock Tank Pools WA is not liable for any fines, penalties, or compliance issues resulting from unapproved installations.

3. Electrical Safety

  • The pump and filtration system must be installed with Residual Current Device (RCD) protection, in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules).

  • Any electrical work required must be completed by a licensed electrician.

  • Do not operate the filtration system in wet conditions or without proper earthing and waterproof connections.

4. Water Safety & Pool Fencing

In Western Australia, any body of water deeper than 30cm is considered a pool and must comply with pool fencing regulations under the Building Act 2011 (WA) and Building Regulations 2012 (WA).

As the owner, you are legally responsible for:

  • Installing a compliant pool safety barrier

  • Ensuring children are supervised at all times

  • Conducting regular safety checks of fencing and gates

Failure to comply with fencing laws can result in substantial fines and legal liability.

5. Surface and Placement Disclaimers

  • Stock tank pools must be installed on a firm, level, and stable surface such as concrete, pavers, or compacted gravel.

  • Placement on soft ground, sloped surfaces, or elevated decking without structural approval is at your own risk.

  • We are not liable for damage caused by poor site preparation, ground movement, water overflow, or unsuitable surfaces.

6. Liability Disclaimer

By purchasing and/or requesting installation from Stock Tank Pools WA, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • You are responsible for ongoing maintenance, water treatment, safety, and legal compliance

  • You waive all liability claims against Stock Tank Pools WA for any injury, death, property damage, or regulatory breach resulting from incorrect or negligent use, installation by third parties, or lack of supervision

If you are unsure about your legal obligations or installation requirements, please consult with a local pool safety inspector or building professional.
