what you'll need :

People Required: 2-3 people for tank positioning

Essential Items:

✅ Stock tank (your chosen size)
✅ Pool pump and filter system (suitable for tank capacity)
✅ Pool drain plug kit (bulkhead fitting)
✅ Food-grade silicone sealant
✅ Pool hose (diameter matching your pump)
✅ Pool liner or pool paint (optional extras for sealed finish)

Tools Required:

🔧 Power drill with hole saw bit
🔧 Adjustable wrench
🔧 Spirit level (long level preferred)
🔧 Tape measure
🔧 Sandpaper or metal file
🔧 Safety glasses and gloves
🔧 Shovel (for site preparation)
🔧 Compactor or hand tamper

PHASE 1 -

Location Requirements:

Level area with good drainage
At least 1 metre clearance from fences/structures
Consider sun exposure (partial shade ideal for water temperature)
Proximity to power outlet for pump (within 10 metres)
Verify no underground utilities (call "Dial Before You Dig" - 1100)

Important Considerations:

Avoid areas under trees (falling leaves and debris)
Ensure ground can support weight when filled (1.5m tank = ~1,100kg)
Consider privacy and views
Think about water runoff and drainage

Clear the Area:

Remove all grass, rocks, roots, and debris
Clear an area 30cm larger than your tank diameter on all sides
Check for any sharp objects that could damage the tank
